MY FAVORITE CASSEROLE – CABBAGE CASSEROLE

*INGREDIENTS

°1 lb ground beef

°1/2 t. chopped onion

°1 minced garlic clove

°4 t. stewed tomatoes

°1 can 8 oz tomato sauce

°1/2 t. instant rice

°1 medium green cabbage, coarsely chopped

°1 bay leaf

°salt and pepper, to taste

°1 tablespoon(s) sour cream

*PREPARATION

In a skillet, brown the ground beef, minced onion and garlic until the meat is no longer pink and the onions are translucent. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Cover and simmer for an hour. Add water if necessary. Remove the bay leaf before serving. Spoon sour cream on top and reheat.
